The film adaption of my books

Riding in Collection
for Healthy Horses and Lightness

Outstanding and in pioneer position is the didactical mediation of teaching contents! Through slow-motion, still images, auxiliary lines, detail and drone shots, important, forgotten knowledge of the old masters and new findings are cleverly prepared and vividly presented.

The film series Riding in Collection for Healthy Horses and Lightness is the film adaption of my successful books. Just like the book of the same name, there is a division into theory and practice.

In parts 1 and 2 the collection factors are summarized and a definition is provided. In parts 3, 4 and 5 the practical implementation is shown in exercises. Through the realization of the collection in the form of the carrying capacity it is possible to keep your riding horse healthy until old age!

The film series is based on my books » Classical Work in Hand « and » Riding in Collection for Healthy Horses and Lightness «, published by Müller-Rülischkon-Verlag.

„Balance and collection are not mystical events or questions of opinion.
There are clear criteria by which they can be recognized.“ Sonja Weber

What the audience says

Viewers expecting much from these films won’t be disappointed. Step by step and in great detail, Sonja Weber explains the core elements of collection, which she illustrates using a wide variety of material, including film clips of her Lusitanos running loose and playing. The latter show most impressively that collection is all about natural patterns of movement which need to be developed under saddle through training. In my opinion, this is a must-see for all riders aiming to school their horses according to classical principles.

Sonja Weber manages the feat of conveying very complex knowledge clearly and comprehensibly on the highest level. I strongly recommend the film series to all riders; regardless of riding style, background or experience, it is incredibly valuable for anyone interested in classical dressage training.

In her film, Sonja Weber presents the basics of healthy collection work in a manner which is both well-founded and understandable. In giving a variety of examples and demonstrating practical exercises, she truly inspires her audience to embark on a classical dressage training based on the nature of the horse or to deepen their previous knowledge.

This is a film for horse lovers who want to get to the bottom of the art of riding. Very vividly and in great detail, the film illustrates the basics and relevance of collection, including the horse’s weight-carrying ability which this kind of work improves. The drone shots in particular are truly innovative and spectacular! The practical parts 3 to 5 are eagerly awaited!
