Copyright, data protection and GTC (General Terms and Conditions) – Sonja Weber Reitkunst Film and Learning Portal

Copyright

The Sonja Weber Reitkunst Film and Learning Portal as well as all contents provided there are subject to copyright and are to be regarded as “Intellectual Property” of Sonja Weber. This almost combines the protective rights of copyright and industrial property rights.

If the intellectual property right is violated by an illegal exploitation of copyright works, this may also result in criminal prosecution. This is possible if the aggrieved party files a request for criminal prosecution, as automatic criminal prosecution does not usually take place in the case of copyright.

According to the German Copyright Act (UrhG), a distinction is made between private individuals and business people with regard to the level of sanctions. In the case of private individuals, theft of intellectual property can be punished by a fine or imprisonment for up to three years. If the copyright infringement was committed for commercial purposes, the penalty can be up to five years’ imprisonment.
